Hi Jeremy, and apologies for the late response. Your domicile / earnings / taxation situation seems quite complex. I suggest you contact the Irish Revenue office that handles your taxes in Ireland and discuss it with them. Hope that helps, kind regards George

Hello - I live in Ireland but work have worked for a UK company for the last 8 years traveling across Europe in my job. I pay tax on 20% of my earnings in the UK (commensurate with the amount of time I spend there) and pay Irish tax on the remaining 80% of my earnings. I am a high rate tax payer in Ireland. I make pension contributions in the UK to my employers pension scheme and get base rate tax relief. Am I entitled to claim tax relief in Ireland at the higher rate? How do I go about this please? Kind Regards JH

A Positive Divorce Recovery Book for Your Divorced Clients and Other Contacts

Thanks for a chance to help someone here today!

Hi,

Once a lawyer helps settle the clients’ property and financial assets, they can then offer them some good support and help to make a successful move-on to a happier and more enjoyable life after their divorce or separation.

I have just published a book on divorce recovery called "Yes, There Is an Upside of Divorce, It Can Be Your Second Chance at Life!" You can search "upside of divorce" on Amazon and read the great reviews I have there. One of my top 5-Star ratings is from Tracy, who is the owner of a national web support group called Woman’s Divorce (com), and has used parts of my chapters for her members going through divorce.

I am hoping lawyers may want to buy a copy or two to provide this good help and support to their divorced clients. And perhaps show this to other professionals they may know and use in their practice. Perhaps your clients would like to buy their own copy too if they need some help moving on past their divorce/separation process?

My book has a positive approach to divorce recovery and about how to make a happier and more enjoyable life after divorce. This would be a great gift and help to your clients suffering through their divorce or money well spent for themselves to get my book and see how I was able to find a happier and more enjoyable rest-of-life for myself!

Book Discounts of 10% to 30% off Amazon's costs are available on my own website, Self-Help-Products-and-Services (com). I can also set up affiliate sales on my website and PayPal to return a second discount to you or your members.

Thanks for letting me have a chance to help you help your clients in another way. And thanks for your kind consideration of my book.

Hi Lily and thank you for very relevant comment.
This reply assumes you are based in Ireland, which you seem to be.
You mentioned you are referring to a private pension arrangement, rather than an occupational pension scheme provided by your employer.
To claim your relief, simply take the annual certificate of contributions you get from the Life Assurance company plus your P60 for the same year to your local Revenue office.
They will work out if you qualify for tax relief, and if you do qualify, how much that will be, and they will arrange a refund for you, which should take about 4 to 6 weeks from the date of claim.
Revenue are very helpful, and if you do qualify for relief, they will make sure you get your money without undue delay.
The same will apply to claiming for previous years - the relevant contribution certificates and the P60's for the particular years - talk to Revenue and they will do the rest for you!
But don't delay - there is a limit to how far back Revenue will go in terms of allowing a claim!
Hope this helps, but if you need further info send me an email for a confidential reply. Regards G
